RiverCrossings art fair in motion
Saturday, 17 October 2009

The studio open for RiverCrossings!

Hallmark Glass participated in

RiverCrossings art fair in motion

during the first weekend of October.

Local galleries and artists opened their doors to you!

The weather had a real chill and dampness to it

but didn't deter hearty art lovers from stopping in.

We had beadmaking and some glassblowing demos

and, of course, hot cider and tasty treats.

A great time was had by all!

 February 4 - May 31, 2009

American Swedish Institute

Minneapolis, Minnesota

Discover the beauty of Swedish art glass and the strong influence it has had on the work of contemporary local glass artists. This exhibit features more than 200 pieces of art glass chosen from the American Swedish Institute’s permanent collection and from works by Midwest American glass artists. It highlights parallels between these local artists and Swedish glass masters. The artwork will be presented in four galleries and several period rooms throughout the 100-year-old Turnblad mansion.

Make a date to stop in at this wonderful exhibit. Mark will have several of his metal and cast glass pieces as well as some of his blown cylinders on display. For info on the American Swedish Institute, check out  http://www.americanswedishinst.org
